The casket showcases an alluring design, with the top adorned in hammered gold featuring an intricate lotus petal pattern. Its octagonal shape adds to its elegance, and each corner is beautifully hammered, symbolizing the eight kinds of auspicious animals.
This remarkable artifact was excavated in the area of Wat Chang Lom or Wat Khamin in the Si Satchanalai District of Sukhothai Province. It has been preserved in perfect condition, offering a glimpse into the rich history and craftsmanship of the ancient era.
