Some suggest it may be linked to the merits of a Bodhisattva, while others associate it with the carp's qualities like agility and perseverance, symbolized by the word "phean," similar to "peer."
In ancient times, the carp was also created as jewelry for beauty, with earrings and pendants made from materials like gold, silver, or naga. In the past, such jewelry was exclusive to nobles due to its expensive nature, but over time, it became accessible to everyone, regardless of their social class.
